ABOUT HESFORD MARINE

“Located alongside the Bridgewater Canal, Lymm.”

Our Marina is located alongside the Bridgewater Canal and is located in Lymm, Cheshire. It has space for approximately 70 hard standing and 2 under cover boat sheds on 1.5 acres.

Hesford Marine provides an ideal location for carrying out boat maintenance and repair work. With an on site chandlery/shop, and shot blasting facility.

Agden Salt Works

Agden Salt Works Hesford Marine was originally part of Agden Saltworks which was established around 1906. The saltworks under the then ownership of British Soda was closed down in 1962. It started life as Hesford Marine in 1963 under the ownership of Bernard Hesford.

Hesford Marine Slipway

The boatyard developed over the years and a slipway was introduced in the late 1960's. At that time the Hesford Marine building extended over the area of the slipway. Part of the building (which was in poor repair) was demolished and the slipway took it's place.

Hesford Marine

The Marina was sold following Bernard Hesford's retirement and was run for a number of years by Mr & Mrs Evans until being pirchased by Mobility Engineering (Cheshire) Ltd in July 2009. A Boat Shed and Shot Blasting Facility has since been added
